JAVIER NIEVES

I was born in Gran Canaria, and since childhood I used to visit Fuerteventura on holiday with my parents and siblings. I fell in love with the Island, its tranquility, wide open spaces, its climate ...

I moved permanently in 1993 and since then kept a relationship closely with the hospitality and tourism that we visit. I've always worked with guides and maps to explain to tourists the options offered by the island, but certainly the information is scarce and of poor
quality.

The motor bikes and riding off road are among some of my greatest passions. Thus I have traveled all over this island. Which has helped mapping out routes.

As computing and photography are also part of my hobbies, the combination of these three activities led me to find in 2005 WWW.MYGUIDE.ES guide, offering all professionals hospitality and tourists a full and updated in print free maps and in digital format the website.

My sincere thanks, first, my family and friends for supporting me, enduring my absences and marathon computer sessions. Second entrepreneurs, who have believed in me and this project from scratch, without them it wouldn't be possible to generate these products for free.

I am British and from London and visited the island as a tourist several times.

In 1999 I finally moved to Fuerteventura. I fell in love with
the long sunny days, beaches and the quiet life.

I have always worked in tourism-related activities and now i'm currently working with the translations with My Guide into English.
